Jun Kawai, Ph.D., is the founder and president of Astrobiology Japan and an entrepreneur active in web3 and zero-knowledge (zk) projects. He holds a Doctor of Engineering degree and positions himself as a founder/executive with hands-on builder experience — organizing and shipping hackathon-winning products (ETH Global Singapore/Tokyo 2023–2024, NASA Space Apps 2023) and founding projects such as zkIoT, Labo Protocol and Cosmic Perfume. Jun has led multiple award-winning blockchain/zk and AI×blockchain projects, contributes code on GitHub (TypeScript/JavaScript-first repos) and builds dApps, smart-contract systems and cross-stack prototypes. He is a founder-level, technical entrepreneur (early‑to‑mid senior/executive) with strong product + engineering experience in blockchain, decentralized apps, and applied astrobiology-related projects.
